The UON CCJS Blog respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians: the Awabakal and Worimi people, and on whose traditional land the Callaghan campus is located.

My name is Nika (she/her) and I run the UON CCJS blog. I am a final year law student, legal researcher and tutor. My interests in criminology and criminal justice stemmed from my Criminology degree and became an area of study that has stuck with me since. Some topics in the field of criminology I am interested in is the role of race, gender and religion when it comes to crime and society. My articles will involve analyses of some of these interests, and offer a criminological and legal perspective.

In my spare time, you will find me writing fiction, making yet another coffee, or going for a walk around the beauty that is Newcastle.
